The Bespoke Pippsway Journey

barefoot Arab, rehabilitation, schooling, training, Pippsway Wellington Somerset near Devon

At Pippsway there is not the ‘one size fits all’ approach that I have often seen at riding schools. How Pip works with each person is tailored to that individual. She instinctively seems to know how to deal with each horse, dog and rider in such a way as to get the very best out of them!

My journey since arriving at the yard has been different to that of other clients I have spoken to and yet one thing remains constant. We are all so grateful to have found Pip. We all feel that every time we come up to the yard we learn so much and we all love being there. Some of us had been riding for years and yet felt that something was missing. Others had reached a point with their horses where they could no longer cope and with her training and support they have transformed that relationship.

When I buy my own horse it will be coming to live at Pip’s yard and I will continue to have a lesson each week. I feel confident that with her support I will be able to be a responsible horse owner and a good rider. I will also be bringing Pip with me when I go to meet any prospective horses as having seen what she has achieved with her own horses, and horses she has rehabilitated for clients, I know she will ensure that I come home with the right horse for me.

I’m so glad that I have found Pippsway and look forward to enjoying many years of training with Pip. One day I will enjoy looking back on this blog and seeing how far I have come.

This is not going to be a quick or easy journey. I know that to truly be at one with our horse we have to be prepared to commit to years of training. I understand that there will be successes and failures, highs and lows. I’ve only been on this path for a matter of weeks and I am loving it! Far from dreading the idea of how far I have yet to travel I feel excited about it. That is not to say there haven’t been moments where I have felt completely frustrated and could have cried! But those moments have been few and already there has been so much joy. Even when things have not gone to plan there has always been valuable lessons to learn from the experience and the lovely ladies at the yard to put a smile on my face. Every time I get in my car to come home I feel like I’ve had a fantastic day. Pip has given me the confidence to believe in myself and what is possible.
