I take horses and ponies in for backing, bringing on and schooling. My aim is to see horses in work whenever possible and welcome problem horses for re-schooling and injured horses for rehabilitation and return to work.

I am willing to take in and prepare horses for sale and can also accommodate horses to stay for short periods should their owners wish to take a break. All horses will be treated as individuals with personalised care tailored to their needs. All owners are welcome at any time and are encouraged to be involved in the programme of work developed for their horse. Owners often learn new skills of their own which allow them to continue with the training of their horse once they have left my care.

I have a particular interest in the rehabilitation of racehorses having spent 6 years working in racing yards. I have an appreciation of the needs of these horses developed through an understanding of how they are trained and treated during their racing careers. This enables me to re educate them in an informed and empathic way allowing them to develop a new life away from racing.

All horses and ponies will experience a happy, calm and relaxed atmosphere which encourages them to learn through play and positive reinforcement.

Support from me remains even after the horses leave me; many owners stay in regular contact and continue to receive any support they may need.
