This is not ' Monty Roberts
- Parelli - Clicker training"
I use no gadgets, no special head collars, no special sticks,
no special ropes,no special roundpens,no repetative games,
no quick fixes
I use normal sized schools, or open fields (if no school),
the free spirit of the horse and human
I start with nothing on the horse and allow the horse to show
me his/her emotions, I allow the horse to be themselves with
no restraint and with the space if they want to to get away
from me(hence no round pens), I will support them through
their feelings and emotions, by doing this the horse can get
rid of his/her anger and frustration but because it is done
in a supportive way the horse understands no matter what their
background the horse will learn self disipline, self control,
self worth, true self carriage, self respect, self belief which
leads to a confident horse and a horse that truly wants to
be with you because he/she chooses to not because he/she has
been bullied in to it or because he/she knows that if he/she
does not do want you are demanding they will have to do it
another 10 million times
My teachers have been the horses, I have learnt all I know
from listening and watching them for the last 40yrs, I will
never stop learning from them, I can pass on what I have learnt
to you in a non threatening, non aggresive, non verble, non
physical way; it is a powerful, gentle, quiet, thinking, thought
provoking, enjoyable learning that anyone who is prepared
to accept that it is up to them, the owner, to learn and change
(not the horse, the horse already knows these things) it is
us people who have to stand up, take responsibility for our
own actions and realize that everything we do has a reaction,
it is what we do with that reaction because of our actions
that matters
There is no magic to 'Natural Horsemanship" but to truly
become a 'Natural Horseman" is magical
