I learnt from Pip that in order to understand horses, you
must look at them from a completely different way to most
people, gaining their trust and thinking like they do. In
the herd there is always one dominant horse and that is who
Pip would teach us to become but it is leadership with out
bulling.
In my first lesson from Pip, she asked me to close my eyes,
just sit there and try to get to feel the horses movements.
She then taught me how to free school and build up a relationship
with the horses. It is a great feeling when the horse chooses
to follow me just because it wants to.
Watching Pip ride is amazing, the relationship between her
and her stallion is remarkable, they look like they are dancing
together. She is also great at working with horses who have
problems, one horses trasformation was incredible. He would
stand at the back of his stable with his ears back but now
he has got his head over the door, saying hello to everyone
!
The thing that has meant the most to me about working with
Pip is the relationship between her, the peolpe she teaches
and the horses. I have got a horse now (after a year working
with Pip) and I love free schooling and riding him but also
just spending time with him. Pip taught me how to build up
that bond between us and it is wonderful ! Thanks Pip !
